Terms of
Service.

The rules of using ClickNorms — written in plain English, kept short, and free of weird gotchas. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

// In one paragraph

Read freely. Don't scrape, mirror, or repackage our work as your own. Don't abuse our tools or pretend our editorial is paid. We do our best to be accurate, but nothing here is professional advice for your specific situation. We can update these terms; if we do, we'll say so.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms ("Terms") form an agreement between you and ClickNorms, an independent publication operated by Joy Jathinson ("we", "us"). They govern your use of clicknorms.com and any subdomain, page, feed, or tool we publish (the "Site").

By visiting the Site, subscribing to the newsletter, or using any of our tools, you accept these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

2. What ClickNorms is

ClickNorms is an editorial publication about AI-driven search and how brands show up in answers. We publish articles, case studies, tools, and a newsletter. We are not a marketing agency, a regulator, or a law firm. Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, financial, or professional advice for your specific situation.

3. Permitted use

You may:

4. Things you may not do

5. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, all content on the Site — articles, case studies, illustrations, tool source code, copy, and design — is © 2026 ClickNorms. The "ClickNorms" name and wordmark are ours.

Quotes from third parties, brand names, and logos referenced in articles remain the property of their respective owners. We use them under fair use for reporting, commentary, and criticism.

6. AI crawlers and content reuse

We publish a robots.txt that lists which AI crawlers are allowed to fetch our content. We also publish llms.txt and llms-full.txt as machine-readable summaries.

Permission to fetch a page is not the same as permission to republish it. AI assistants are welcome to cite us; bulk republication or commercial dataset inclusion requires written permission. Email [email protected].

7. The tools we publish

Our tools (such as the AI Visibility Score, the Schema Auditor, and any future utilities) are provided "as is" for informational use. They run heuristics and approximations — not guarantees. Don't make business decisions on a single score; treat the output as a starting point for human judgment.

We may rate-limit, change, or retire any tool at any time. If a tool you rely on changes meaningfully, we'll do our best to flag it on the page.

8. The newsletter

The newsletter is free. You can subscribe and unsubscribe at any time. We send it on a regular cadence; we may also send occasional special editions or announcements about ClickNorms itself. We won't share your email with anyone outside the service providers we use to deliver it (see the Privacy Policy).

9. Editorial independence

ClickNorms is independent. Articles are not paid placements. If we ever publish sponsored content, partnerships, or affiliate links, we will label them clearly. Our coverage of any platform, tool, or company is not influenced by their advertising spend, because they don't have any with us.

10. Third-party links

We link to other sites for context, sources, and further reading. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices. Click at your own discretion.

11. Disclaimers

We work hard to be accurate, but we can't promise the Site or any tool will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a specific purpose. The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent allowed by law.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, ClickNorms will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the Site — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — even if we were advised of the possibility.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to USD $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater. (You probably paid us nothing, because the Site is free.)

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold ClickNorms harmless against any claim arising from your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of someone else's rights.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or any tool — without notice — if you violate these Terms or use the Site in a way that creates risk for us or other readers. You can stop using the Site at any time; unsubscribing from the newsletter ends your relationship with us.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If the change is material, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where reasonable, notify newsletter subscribers. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ClickNorms is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless a mandatory consumer law in your country requires otherwise.
